Hello and Welcome to Philly Cowdrey Textile Design
Philly Cowdrey is a textile designer who lives to create patterns for textile design. Her bold, colourful designs will uplift your mood and bring a sense of fun to your everyday.
She is inspired by the animal kingdom, the natural world, flora and fauna and is obsessed with piecing together different organic and geometric shapes. She loves injecting her own signature style through motif sketching, colour selection and pattern development.
She studied a bachelor of Textile Design at Massey University in Wellington, NZ. While she called Wellington Home for 10 years in that time she also worked in the world of film and costume on the feature films District 9 and The Hobbit Trilogy.
Philly moved to Sydney in 2013 and started on her career in the interiors industry, she has worked creating digital fabric for interiors and roller blinds, textile designs for luxury residential and commercial carpet. Her design work has been seen in editorial such as Belle and Inside Out magazine
Alongside working in the interiors market Philly also creates a range of handmade polymer clay earrings, Her earrings have featured on etsy trend reports and Frankie Magazine. A selective range of earrings can be found in stockists around Australia and Internationally.
Philly then pivoted from her earring business and followed her passion of creating her very own digital textile designs. Philly sells her digital textile designs to companies worldwide who are looking for an original design or pattern for their products. Her designs are available for licensing (exclusive and non-exclusive) or buyout.
She has sold and licensed her digital textile designs into Australia, United Kingdom and Spain, across a wide range of exciting products.
